Yep! I was lucky in a way, I had a friend of mine who recently got a job that needed help/was hiring. There were a couple people when they let go of everyone that is still looking for work.
WFH jobs are a huuuuge benefit.
My old place of employment told everyone that they had to go back to office earlier this year. 1 month later, about 10 people out of a 15-ish department found remote jobs. They just shuttered the local office after a couple more months. My new place is much better :).
Most of us are experienced software developers or software adjacent. There is a lot of companies looking.

Thats my understanding of what happened here. The code is even included in this port. So everything was written from the ground up. I haven’t had a chance to actually compile it yet, but it looks solid.
If an admin asks me to take it down, I dont mind taking it down. I dont want lemmy to get in trouble. However I do believe in this instance that no such requests have come in at this time.

I remember when xp was not supported and…people kept using it. Security bugs and all. Most people don’t really think about the os, they think about the programs they are using.
Also I get more up votes and less down votes over hear. Less people trying to game the system, since there is no real reason to.

Yep you can put Manjaro onto a laptop and get just about the same experience.
