@comfy Yeah for sure! I think people are ok with having 2 accounts in these context.
@Onihikage @Jake_Farm What is the STAR method?
@roho @cyclohexane My understanding about instances blocking a lot and isolating is that these are marginalized communities who just want a space where they can be themselves. The whole world is already telling them loudly that there are different opinions. They just want a moment of peace.
@TimothyMcFuck Basically it re-share the post to your own timeline. Kinda like sharing the link to a post.
If you want to see an example in action, you can take a look at my mastoton profile
https://mstdn.fr/@narF
and you’ll see some posts that are from different users. These are posts that I boosted (re-shared)
@meloo I didn’t. The boosted post appeared in my timeline and I just replied to it from my mastodon account. I didn’t create a new account.
Is that a problem? Did I do something wrong?
@meloo It was boosted by @fediversefutures
@meloo What about cooperative gameplay? Instead of instances fighting against each other, then could collaborate to attain a common shared goal?
@Mango7874 Lemmy and Mastodon are different project but both speak the same protocol (the same “language”) so messages can be exchanged between both. Kinda like following a Twitter user using a Facebook account or a Youtube account, and still being able to like and comment. This is the magic trick of the Fediverse: multiple websites, multiple servers, different interfaces, but all using the same protocol (speaking the same language)
