Other DE also have remote access, KDE have it, wlroot based also. There is a thing called Google that you can use to find out about these things if it is important to you.

No, the compositor is the Wayland server, similar to the X server. It is not a random program snooping the screen, and under Wayland that is not possible. To get access to the screen, you have to use apis to explicitly ask for that access, and the user must approve the request. Under X, any program can snoop the screen and do what the like with it.
I intended to write vnc… sorry for the confusion.
Gnome have built o RDP and vlc https://wiki.gnome.org/Projects/Mutter/RemoteDesktop
No, there are remote desktop, screen recording, just in a secure and controlled way. Letting any application read your screen and snoop your keyboard without restriction may be convenient, but it is just horrible in so many ways. If your preferred tool doesn’t work under Wayland, it is most likely not because of limitations of Wayland (there are such cases, but they are getting quite rare) but because they haven’t implemented support for it.
But I. What way is a screen recorder under X11 working any different than a trojan. It records the screen without any restrictions and without having to ask for any permissions.
Breaks screen recording? No, it was X11 that was so broken that any app could snoop your screen, read your key strokes aso. Basically, never type any credentials on an X11 system, unless you trust all your running software 100%. Screen recording was basically just a trojan that happened to store the recording to a file.
No, that is not a valid reason to look that bad, JetBrains Mono is a fixed with font and it manages to get the characters evenly distributed.
Just looked at the screenshot on the Victor Mono page and the kerning makes me want to rip my eyes out…
You don’t have to use it…
Also, MS pays computer makers to preinstall Windows.
He is one of the key people to get all of the low level components “just work”, and a big part of why I use Fedora as my go to desktop distribution. This kind of work is a key part of providing a smooth desktop experience, sad to see RedHat stopping to support it.
It is possible to have an active discussion in a civil tone. What they promote is conflict, that is not the same as activity.
Also, if you try it out, then you cannot delete your threads account without deleting your Instagram account and loosing all your photos. So, Welcome to the Hotel California.
