Didn’t really understand if the salary quote was about the same coop then the salary one, but in general of you want to work for public sector, education, NGOs etc one should anyway expect lower salaries compared to working for cooperations. So these should be the benchmark to compare and not all over market averages.
That’s something I never got about cops in the US. Everywhere in Europe, there are always two cops per car, at least in the places I have been.
I remember it being like that already in 2014. The only thing especially annoying I remember was having to use optimus to manually switch between the “internal” Intel GPU and the dedicated Nvidia GPU to not run out of battery within an hour. But the whole set up thing was never an issue for me on Mint and Ubuntu even 10 years ago.
They claim they didn’t bought the contractual obligations, so to be fair they should cancel all subscription and not just the lifetime subscriptions. But obviously it’s just a bullshit claim by some corpo…
