Do NOT ever let cats go into washers and dryers!

I know someone who had a cat die in a running one and it fucked them up bad finding them dead later

Their every living moment is agony. Imagine your nose is always plugged and your mouth hurts when it’s dry. And you never get a good night’s sleep.

I’ve no doubt their temperament is amazing, but you shouldn’t pay money to get animals with breathing issues. We shouldn’t reward breeders for torturing animals.

This includes Scottish Folds(shitty cartilage), Munchkins(shitty bones), and anything with a squashed face like this

Don’t know if they are better or worse than my cat who has tank controls. He is a mutant with no neck and thusly has tank controls, his kids are fine though if a bit utterly stupid.

Apparently so cause he is infinitly smarter than all of his children combined. Mind you three of the living ones are Siamese, and one of them probably has brain damage due to almost dying as a kitten but still.

We’ve been breeding dogs for 20,000 more years than cats. Give it time.

The utility and temperament of dogs has been a contributing factor is the decisions to geneticly modify them. Cats, on the other hand are already physically perfect for their roles in human society so all the genetic mutations are purely aesthetic

This is why if I get a pet dog, I would like a breed close enough to their original wolf lineage. I always ask people, what if aliens arrived and made humans pet and breed us to have certain features? That’s just messed up.
