    As soon as I saw “peaceful until a group of hooded men began causing violence” I knew it was the USA doing what they do to justify their near term invasion of South America and Mexico.

      Cops (and other paid actors) do that in every country, it didn’t have to be their neighbor.

        It doesn’t have to be, but given the current threats from the USA at present, and their EXTENSIVE history of doing it in Latin America, it seems a safe bet. If it was the cartels, I genuinely wouldn’t be surprised to learn that the CIA paid the cartels to do it through intermediaries.
