Probably no way to keep them out unless the cave is gated, and there’s probably no local government to do that.

These were poor people trying to grub out some bits of gold, or catch some animal in there for food, not an organized trip. Probably no way to keep them out unless the cave is gated, and there’s probably no local government to do that.
