Te real reason has nothing to do with capitalism, the reason because tech giants profits over data is because us as users wanted “cool things/apps” cheap or for free and we didn’t value enough the privacy we were giving in exchange fore those things.

Just see how much a phone really cost wen you take out all the benefits of giving up privacy (Librem 5 phone) and compare it to others in the market… If the people choose to give up their privacy there is no one else to blame but that people. Sure, some deals are tempting but you cant have the cake and eat it to.

We bought “”“free”“” apps or services paying with pivacy, now that isnt much left for us of that currency we’re aware of it importance, like everything in life is a process and people will learn. But is healthy to not blame the wrong couses or otherwise we will fall into the sameistakes in the future, although whit other forms…

people are gonna buy it cheap if they are given that choice, they wouldn’t likely know the privacy drawbacks because they don’t weren’t told. if they knew from the start they would reconsider definitely, this is not people’s fault. It’s the greedy market.

No, I told it to those around me just out of curiosity. They don’t care, at all. Convenience and cheap prices are simply more important for most people.

don’t give them the option to talk to you through whatsapp, it works for me. even my grandma uses signal now.

or more conveniently, delete them from your life

Yup that’s what I did, now my friends use Telegram. At the time I didn’t know of other alternatives so I went with that.
