    1. You haven’t “stayed ahead of this challenge” pretty much ever.
    2. The data was scraped by people pretending they’re friends with random phone numbers. A child could’ve thought of that vulnerability. And you don’t even need to “devote substantial resources”, you just need to not publish people’s data.
