Recently while searching for a book on Bookshop.org, I was interrupted by a popup apparently generated by Microsoft Edge advising me of an alternative:
Windows is an excellent and safe OS, but it requires, before using it, to throw a lot of garbage that it brings by default (trials and demos of MS programs, services that nobody uses, etc.) and to deactivate many of the telemetries it uses, some necessary for security but others are spyware (WPD can help with this).
Naturally use another browser and search engine other than Edge and Bing.
That done, what remains is a compliant and fast OS.
To facilitate other configurations, it is convenient to activate the so-called God Mode, it is a Windows function, which gives us access to configurations that are not accessible from the normal Control Panel or very hidden that require navigating through several submenus.
