I feel like someone tooling with a secure messaging app makes it less…reliable that its secure, despite yanking google play parts out of the code. Thoughts?

    I 100% agree. Ideally the best solution would be Element, or even better: any XMPP client.

    There are also other acceptable alternatives like Delta Chat.

    Unfortunately everyone else use WhatsApp or Facebook messenger.
