Fuck SEO. I’d rather focus on content optimization. Search should be powerful enough to find decent matches by now without having to play these games and pay for play BS.

Technology@lemmy.world•Majority of Android users aren't sold on Gemini Intelligence, survey revealsEnglish
27·6 days agoUse android and don’t have any of this enabled. That’s not to say I’m an anti-Ai purist. If I want to do a query I open an app and then close it when I’m done. This work flow just works so much better than having some sort of constant monitoring trying to be available when not needed. From Clippy to Gemini the idea of lurking pro-active Ai assistance has failed. This needs to be a pull function not a push.

2·8 days agoProbably best to focus on child labor laws then.
For young adults entering the workforce computer literacy is dropping DESPITE a clear increase in school computer use. This is not an argument for kids being shackeld to tablets for their school work. Basic computer science courses, typing courses and computer lab exposure are sufficient.

Technology@lemmy.world•America's tech-filled classrooms are facing a backlash against school-assigned devicesEnglish
3·8 days agoI think it would take a pretty big effort to keep kids from learning how to use basic functions on tablets or laptops. They are inundated with these in and out of school. They don’t need to use them in school to be comfortabke with them on the job market.

That look. Mom’s been letting him use MacOS.
