That’s basically what they did for Legend of Zelda:Twilight princess. GameCube version Link was left handed, Wii version he was right handed. Looking at game guide sites was kind of comical. They basically said we’re not rewriting our guide for Wii…just flip the directions. If the guide says go left…go right for Wii.

9·1 month agoI’m kind of surprised he made absolutely no mention of manual gearbox vehicles. Some of the problems he’s describing predate EVs and adaptive cruise. I have a manual car and motorcycle. I pretty regularly apply just enough to the brakes to turn the light on without engaging them during engine braking. Engine braking depending on gear choice can be pretty strong. Likely not as aggressive as a regenerative braking system but more than enough to cause issues. I’m certain I’d have been rear ended if I didn’t make the lights turn on while just slowing down, not coming to a full stop.

I’m not a fan but TSA just cut the locks off previously. Then you’re out the cost of a lock and your bag is open to anybody even without a key. I still use a TSA approved lock but it also has a little indicator on it that turns red if it’s been opened with the TSA key. So at least I know.
Most luggage isn’t even remotely secure anyway unless you travel with hard cases with latches. The zippers on most bags you can separate with a ball point pen in seconds. Then just grab the zipper and pull it to the other side and it’s sealed again.
Only 1 in 5? This is one of my most frequent gripes I run into. Type ‘sq’ and you get ‘SQL Server Management Studio’ and ‘SQL Server Configuration Manager’. The second you type the ‘L’ for ‘sql’ and all those apps disappear…what?
Dunkirk was a weird exception
Warner Bros. is looking to make the most of it. The studio has announced that theaters in the U.S. and Canada will be showing Dunkirk in all its glory in 125 locations around the country, the widest 70-mm release in 25 years. To make that happen, the movie will be shown in 30 IMAX theaters that are equipped with 70-mm projectors. In addition, 95 old 70-mm projectors, once thought to be a technology destined for obsolescence, have been resuscitated and installed in select theaters.
I think he plays with the timelines of some of his movies a bit too much to the point it’s just a chore to sort it all out. At the end of Oppenheimer I’m just like…great, now I need to watch this again. It still made sense but going back with the context of oh that scene is like years prior to the one we just watched…and that one goes after this other one.
I still need to watch Dunkirk again because I honestly think the theater spliced a reel in the wrong spot. I was back at my parents for some reason that summer and saw it with them and some of my siblings…everybody was a little lost. So I’m withholding judgement on that till I see it again.
Interstellar was at least more or less linear just with time acceleration.
I haven’t even seen Tenet yet but from what I’ve heard…
Prestige and Memento(oddly enough) I don’t have an issue with…

My favorite is still Microsoft Zune… Which was a music store, music subscription service, a desktop app, and a physical media player.
It’s like they want their stuff to literally be unsearchable on the internet. Renaming Remote Desktop to Windows App is a prime example of this. Good luck trying to search for that and get what you want.
