Can confirm. Someone put several hits in my beer when I was twenty. I did not enjoy it. I did in fact start violently questioning everyone who was there about it for the next few months. To the point everyone who was there was tired of my asking about it. Due to my persistence I finally found out who did it I showed them how much I appreciated it several times. The idiot told his dad about it and he came to straighten me out. I weighed 200 pounds with no fat. I worked slinging scrap iron all day. It did not go dads way. He called the cops and stupidly admitted why he came to my house. Cops cited him and soon his asshole son was not in town anymore.

To this day I wont drink from a container that has left my sight. One of the first things I taught my daughter when she was old enough was how not to get roofied. She in turn passed on that knowledge when she went to college and became a RA. It prevented a young lady from getting assaulted when some of those young women noticed one of their peers who did not get the message acting way out of character.

I get it. Its not very funny and if you are getting lead from the outdoor spigot at your house you are getting it in your house. Truth is most lead exposure in the world was and continues to be from leaded fuels. All smaller prop planes burn leaded fuel… Its still being sprayed into the atmosphere. Yeah there were paint chips and leaded pipes in places but breathing it in daily is where the real damage was and continues to be done. What I get from this comic is not what you all get from it. Sure there are a lot of stupid people around and there are fresh young ones coming up all the time. Some of them think some really silly things like drinking from the hose causes lead poisoning.

I think its really weird that people think its hazardous. You get more PFA’s from doing it than lead.

I dont care about vegans or their opinions. They are entitled to them but I block the communities so their brand of ridiculous doesn’t show up in my feed as much. Just like I block the women only community so they don’t have to worry about me reacting to their brand of bigotry.

Vegans are the most annoying. I get crap from some arch goons regularly. I don’t get much from vegans on lemmy because I block their communities. I’m not leaving the Linux communities. I was here before them and I’ll be here after they moved on to some other distro. They do however resemble Vegans in their inability to accept no one wants to hear them ad nauseam.

Its not that its bad. Its that it isn’t any better but people go out of their way to say it is. Its the Vegan choice for linux. I’ve installed it and used it but honestly it doesn’t bring anything better to the table. Right now I’ve installed KDE Neon but its going to go pretty quick.
