7·9 months agoOthers have given good examples for formats you were aiming for.
For bulk download, simply create a list.txt file in your target directory, bulk add all urls in separate lines. Then
Yt-dlp list.txt {your options here}It is noteworthy that, instead of listing urls manually, you can also grab entire playlists from relevant platforms if that’s what you’re after, including preserving the playlist names as directory names. Same even goes for entire channels.

Privacy@lemmy.ml•"The entire business model built on harvesting user data could become obsolete" with Fully Homomorphic Encryption
17·9 months agoMy basic understanding is that the concept of homomorphically encrypted data allows for processing of said encrypted data without the need for prior decryption.
Hence, it enables computations and processing on encrypted data (ciphertext) that yield results matching those from the original data (plaintext) without the data needing to be decrypted at any point.

INGREDIENTS
- [ ]▢ 2 cups long grain rice
- [ ]▢ 1 stick Mexican Cinnamon
- [ ]▢ 4 cups hot water
- [ ]▢ 8 cups extra water to finish the drink
- [ ]▢ ¾ cup sugar
- [ ]▢ 2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- [ ]▢ 1 cup milk 2% or whole
- [ ]▢ Ice cubes to serve
INSTRUCTIONS
Place the rice and cinnamon stick in a large glass bowl and add the 4 cups of hot water. Cover the bowl with a dish or plastic wrap, then let it soak overnight, or at least 8 hours. *Please see NOTES
- The next day, pour the rice, cinnamon, and water into your blender and process until it becomes a smooth, watery paste.
- Using a strainer or sieve, strain the mixture into a wide mouth pitcher, stirring to help the liquid pass through.
- Add the milk (if using), vanilla extract, and the rest of the water. Stir in the sugar, adjusting the amount to fit your taste. Let the drink chill in the refrigerator. Stir the Horchata before serving, since the rice mix tends to settle at the bottom. Serve in glasses with ice cubes.
NOTES
If you have a Vitamix or other high-performance blender, you won’t need to rest the rice to soften it, as the blender will be powerful enough to grind the hard rice grains. Additionally, you probably won’t need to use a sieve or strainer to strain the rice water, as the rice mixture will be very finely processed. Always taste the drink before adding the sugar. You might need more or less sugar than the amount indicated in the ingredients. If you feel that the consistency of the Horchata is too thick or dense for your taste, simply add more water.

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Neighbour is deliberately harassing my family by blasting the radio on subwoofers in every room from 7:30 AM till 11:30 AM every day. Can anything be done about this? Me and my family are at wit's end
36·11 months agoMost jurisdictions, including councils and their relevant bylaws, prohibit any type of nuisance behaviour. It matters not if the nuisance manifests during day time or not. What matters in context of noise is frequency, duration, volume, intensity, droning and pitch. You, as property owner or tenant, have a right to the peaceful enjoyment of your property.
The council’s environmental health officer is typically the appropriate POC for these matters. They may ask you to provide a journal of events (you can write this retrospectively if this is a regular occurrence), and/or they may choose to attend themselves to verify during times in question or if you advise them as such.
Out of council hours, they usually ask for the police to be called so there’s a record/independent witness. There is nothing stopping you from calling the police during daytime.
The council may ask you if you’re comfortable to try and talk to the offending party to resolve the issue. Decline this vehemently and state that you fear for your safety (especially since this guy appears to be mentally ill!). Let them deal with the matter, it’s their job.
I feel bad for the bloke who’s ill, but conversely you do not need to suffer from his illness, and neither does your mum.
I wish you best of luck.
