even the proposed three mile patches of sunlight mentioned in the article would be incredibly impactful and in fact the article does briefly mention the environmental impact:

Never liked Star Wars. The original trilogy. I watched it and nothing no sense of adventure no tension just blah. The new ones are worse, watched all of those too but they fail even harder for what feels like the same reasons. To be clear I fucking love Sci-Fi books/movies/tv shows doesn’t matter.
