Even better - I can just let it lapse then and still play using my preferred controller - thanks for letting me know!

Yeah, but recently PS+ subscriptions only get a around 20% discount on Black Friday, and Sony is hiking the price up by now than 30, so it’s more than likely that the discounted price is still going to be higher than the full price now…
This price hike is absurd - fortunately the only game I play online (Warframe) is implementing cross-save soon, so I’ll be able to move away from Playstation and stop renewing Plus - 80 dollars for online pay and cloud saves is robbery, how greedy can you get?!
Amen to that - plants are delicious on their own, no need to try (and fail) to make fake meet with them. Just like I don’t want/need my pork chops to taste kinda-sorta but not quite like tofu or beans, I don’t want/need my tofu or beans to taste kinda-sorta but not quite like pork chops…
The ability to control the temperature (and perhaps humidity and/or composition too) of air within 1mm of my body. Like a personal air conditioner. Would make going outside right now so much more bearable, pretty sure it would help with sleep too… Sigh, one can dream…
No idea, honestly - not a trekkie, so I never cared enough to ask :)
I’m on an instance that defederated from only 3 other ones: voyager.lemmy.ml, ds9.lemmy.ml and enterprise.lemmy.ml - just checked now. I honestly dont see a firehose of trash, tankie invasion or anythig of the sort. I do aggressively block communities I have zero interest in, so it might still be happening there, but I personay don’t see it at all - anecdotal evidence, I know, but that’s been my experience.
Just a browser for now - set up Firefox Beta on my phone and put the icon where my reddit app used to be. I have Lemmy, Kbin, Squabbles and Tildes bookmarked here and constantly open in tabs, so that it’s separate from my regular browsing and I can just switch to ut similarly to opening RIF i the past.
Might switch to apps when they mature a bit more, but for now I’m actually enjoying the browser experience.
My local subreddit, but it will sadly never happen, because the overwhelming majority of users there simply don’t care about whatever spez or reddit is doing - they didn’t even do the 48h blackout, just complete apathy. Oh well, I’ll miss it, but not enough to actually go back there, so it’s all good.
You know what’s great for vomiting though? Barf-b-gone! It’s organic homeopathic artisanal small batch natural nausea remedy that I’m recommending you as a fellow user and not a spam bot looking for keywords! Click here to buy it now and try it immediately! /s
Not just that, they also announced their intent to turn reddit into an even more ad-infested hellhole: https://www.redditinc.com/blog/investing-in-what-makes-reddit-unique-introducing-contextual-keyword-targeting-and-product-ads

I honestly find the constant digs at Apollo developer baffling. Spez is clearly looking for a scapegoat, but after the second or third time Christian showed the receipts, you’d think he’d find another target…
Instead he is digging himself and reddit deeper and deeper into that hole - seems ego really is a hell of a drug.
Android already does have an app, Jerboa: https://f-droid.org/packages/com.jerboa/
Not sure about iOs, since I don’t use it.
