I enjoy the higher streaming quality and server boosts. Discord makes it very easy for my ttrpg groups to gather weekly not to mention the many other communities it facilitates. It’s even partly responsible for me and my partner having a successful long distance relationship. The service is worth paying for, imho.
Doesn’t bother me, I know that it’s an insanely hot take on Lemmy and reddit. I appreciate the vocal backup though.

YouTube Premium is the only media subscription I pay for because it’s the only one I consider worth it. I watch an unhealthy amount of YT, listen to tons of music, and even use YT as a kind of cloud storage for thousands of hours of recorded video.

Not everyone will have played it already. If I’m a new buyer and I see one version and another version that’s the same but looks better, then yeah I’m gonna buy the one that looks better.

There are daily challenges and things like that which is what I would refer to as online play. Not that crazy imho of you’ve put thousands of hours into vanilla solitaire that you may welcome something to spice it up.
I can’t speak for other people, I don’t even play solitaire. Realistically, I imagine most people get new PCs with newer Windows versions and play whatever solitaire is on there.
If that satisfies you then all the power to you.

This isn’t really new. Solitaire has had ads for over a decade now since Windows 8, and there is a monthly premium subscription to remove them. As I understand it they also don’t show during offline play, but might be wrong about that.
Focusing on what I can do to make my and my partner’s lives better, ethically, and realistically and just happy and present with her. Life’s too short.
I’ve played many, many good games only once and don’t think I’ll ever play them again.
