I saw this in theaters way back when and I have never laughed fucking harder at anything in a movie.

I love Star Wars and usually have a half decent time with Ubi games. You can usually pick them up for 50% off physical like a month after release.

I have never put down a game quicker than Outlaws. It’s Ubisoft open world map icon slop at its worst. The first 4 hours of story are boring and repetitive. Every mission was “sneak into an Imperial base, oh shit something went wrong! Now escape!” Progression and abilities might as well not be there.

Interest in SW isn’t waning. Companies keep making bad SW content.

The stolen art is a much bigger problem for Bungie in a legal sense. They (and other studios) put out mediocre shit all the time and promise to fix it. I’m sure the poor play test contributed but the stolen art is likely the cause for this delay.

They now have to scan every single asset in the game to make sure the stolen art is no longer there and that’s just the stolen art they know about. There might be more stolen art in there, who knows.

Now that the controversy is public the original artist could easily find a lawyer to go against Bungie if more stolen art is found in the final release. If Bungie gets sued they might have to pull the game from storefronts.

This reads like several other recent posts of his recently where it’s clear he’s not actually running things.

Yes, the media is suppressing news of protests because most of the media companies are owned by billionaires who’ve kissed the ring.

The protests that are happening are also smaller and somewhat decentralized. The media likes a big show and these protests don’t get clicks or eyeballs on screens.

There are many smaller protests happening such as the ones outside Tesla dealerships literally everywhere. This is having an effect on Teslas stock but TBD if it’ll have a lasting effect.

People are also attending town halls with their congresspeople and getting confrontational. This has led to many representatives cancelling town halls or screening for only Republicans like fucking cowards. Chuck Schumer just canceled his book tour because he knows he’ll get run out of every city he shows up in after his capitulation.

Pro Palestine protests continue on campuses.

There’s a lot to dig into on why there isn’t a large mass protest like 2020 but my simple answer is that things aren’t bad enough yet.

Well aware it’s going to get a lot worse and I have been focusing on what to do.

Maybe not the answer you’re looking for, but the sounds in Vampire Survivors are like straight dopamine injections especially when you start ramping up towards the end of a run.

I tell people to play this game all the time and that it’s the “real” Bioshock 3

For me it’s Return of the Obra Dinn. I was blown away by how well this game is done. I blew through it in like 2 days. The way the story plays out is so cool. Afterward I hassled my wife to play it because she loves that murder mystery stuff but she bought it and still hasn’t played it lol.

Anyway highly recommend if you’re into puzzle games.

Zelda: TOTK: I don’t have much to add to the convo about this game. In terms of technical achievement and player discovery it’s an all time great game.

**Dead Space Remake: ** Great remake of the original. They did some good changes to the story that make it make more sense at the end. Also liked how they changed up the boss fights. Really hoping they remake 2 after this.

RE4 Remake: Another all time great. Played through it 4 times when it came out. They took out all the dated stuff from the original which was welcome. Loved the new knife fight with Krauser and the section where you control Ashley.

Metroid Prime Remastered: Probably my favorite Gamecube game. I forgot how hard the soundtrack goes in this game. Having played a lot more of the 2D games since I first played Prime gave me a better appreciation for how they translated it all to 3D.

Diablo 4: This is scratching my Diablo itch and that’s all I really need. I’m only lvl 37 and I don’t know if I’ll care enough to go hard on the endgame but I’m having fun just cutting swaths of monsters in half. I’m digging the darker tone of this game as well. I didn’t hate 3 but it was much more cartoony so this is a nice change.

Disappointing:

Destiny 2: Lightfall: As an avid Destiny player since D1 this expansion was a mixed bag but mostly negative. On one hand the new power (Strand) is excellent and the combat encounters in the campaign were really good, but the story was such a colossal fuck up for what is supposed to be the penultimate chapter of a 10 year saga. Destiny’s story has always been very mid but last year’s expansion really upped their game and then we got this half-assed filler story that they’re trying to stretch over the entire year. The game has also had a ton of technical issues since this expansion. It feels like Bungie has moved on to Marathon and put Destiny on cruise control which is disappointing. I still play the game a bit every week but it’s become clear that after The Final Shape I’m probably done with Destiny.

Jedi Fallen Survivor: I like everything they added to this game and clearly a lot of good work went into it but the story is really putting me off to the point where I don’t think I care to finish it. I can’t get into details without spoiling it. The game is also runs like shit. I’d be fine if it maintained a stable framerate but in either performance or quality the frames constantly drop.
