  • My friends are LoL players and they hate DotA 2 for no reasons saying it’s shit so I play alone…

I’d just like to find a team to make great plays, and play the game seriously and get better while still having fun and trying new things.

I came to DotA 2 for those incredible weird strategies, just the fact that you can kill your minions shows that the game is so flexible with what you can do!

And on LoL I’m a support main and it wasn’t very fun anymore as it’s always the same things & strategies. As a soft support, you need to be flexible while still playing for the team.

yeah exactly: I want to feel the hype, and the excitation that in DotA, anything can happen, and it’s up to you as a soft support to make your team win by trying as much as possible to disturb the enemy team.

  • That’s why I love DotA 2! I just got back to my house and my gaming PC & I played a game of “soft support” and I just had tremendous influence running across the map with my Q to rotate, using the portals to gank our offlane and get kills for the carry.

I just understand better and better the structure of the game and it’s so impressive that contrary to League of Legends, all roles feel so much more important. The game is so much more exciting :))

EDIT: and the two free skins I got are incredible, the empress set for medusa and the anniversary skin for Earthshaker

  • I’m a beginner what the fuck happened, why is the opponent so big ??

EDIT: I understand that he killed himself to deny the gold to the enemy team. But how did the neutral hit him from this far? Can you explain?

EDIT 2: it’s the plant! He placed it so much earlier, did he plan it :)) ? That’s so impressive! What is this character?

  • Ahaha yes I think it’s kinda suspect too. Imagine spending millions & millions on a quality title just to give it away for free?

Why would they even do that? Could they even do it? (I believe) It does not work like that :)

Seriously, I can’t imagine a world where you invest millions in a project just to give it for free. I don’t see how someone could think it’s frustrating.

For once, if you like a game and want to support the industry, buy it. Vote with your wallet.

  • I do think programming is creative, I just didn’t talk precisely about it because it wasn’t the focus of the conversation :).

Linux is very bad for music creation, the ecosystem is lacking the incredible tools like Ableton or FL studio, and the VSTs. You can’t shit done on Linux in this area right now, well I’ve made some music but what a pain it was.

I won’t stop using proprietary software just for the sake of using Linux. I need and I like FL Studio, it’s a very good DAW. Stop trying to convert everyone to your open-source utopia, it can’t exist! I love open-source, I’m an open-source contributor on a few projects and most of my projects (the good ones) are open-source too! But, try to make music with open-source tools and we can talk about it.

Some of them are good but not as good as an Omnisphere, a Serum, or a Purity, or a Ozone RX 9 for mixing.

And no, I won’t involve myself into an open-source DAW because I’ve literally got other shit to do right now than filling issues or PRs that no one will read on GitHub.

The way you talk about things is not helpful, it is just the same copy-pasted shit every time. Open-source… bugs… developers… community… proprietary software bad…

Stop acting like a malfunctioning cyborg.

  • In the case of proprietary software yes, but using a CDN for delivering JavaScript is sometimes so useful for open-source.

I see what you’re saying with Sentry, Google Analytics, etc… And it’s laughably hard to escape the influence of big tech in programming today, you are right!

At least when you want to build an app as we know them know… I’m currently working with some other folks on making the web more decentralized through a database that shares his data across peers.

Those peers are the user of the app. Let me tell you, the seeds are planted… just need to grow the tree!
