For me, “normie” has always been something coming out of the mouths of weirdos who spend too much time on 4chan, to the point where there are legions of people who think they’re not normal, which is ironic.

I moved to Mastodon months ago, and I tried over and over to get my closest followers to follow me over and most of them continue to stay there. Happy to say I finally deleted my Twitter account, but I can’t imagine the level of addiction you’ve got to be on in order to sit through this.
