This is such a misleading headline. The girl was 28 weeks pregnant. No state had legal abortion at 28 weeks unless there was at threat to the mother’s life. They buried the fetus in their yard. This investigation began before roe vs Wade was invalidated.

But yeah, the headline as written plays really well with audiences with a certain narrative.

Fuck Facebook. Don’t use it. Delete your account.

Edit: I misremembered. She was 23 weeks not 28. My bad. Better take: https://arstechnica.com/tech-policy/2022/08/teens-jailing-shows-exactly-how-facebook-will-help-anti-abortion-states/

KeepassDX on Android. KeePassXC on Linux. Sync my password file via Syncthing on my local network.

Governments really should require that software made for them be made open source and that they use open standards. :(

It may seem contradictory that all these ‘decentralised’ protocols are based on a very centralised structure such as the DNS, when one could use a DHT, like torrent is doing.

DNS is centralized?

Yep, unless you want to use something like Keepass and roll your own sync with something like syncthing, then I think Bitwarden is really good.

I think it boils down to your threat model and who you trust eh? I trust Mullvad way more than I trust Comcast. The problem with not trusting anyone, including companies like Mullvad is that you’ve soon backed yourself into this weird corner where you have to become a C developer so you can review the code of your Linux distro and building your own routers with pfsense. Oh, don’t forget to review that code too. And how can you trust that your computer firmware doesn’t have some built in back doors or tracking features enabled? Before long, you’re living in a cabin without electricity, sending people letters with pen and paper… which sounds kind of nice.

Oh, here is a better post about VPNs: You want Tor Browser … not a VPN.

Either ddg changed/fixed something or torrentfreak is spreading misinformation.

Can I block specific communities from showing from the All communities view?
I often prefer to view the communities list from the All tab instead of the subscribed tab. This is usually fine except for a few shit posting ones. I'd like to block those from showing up. Is that possible?
