I used to love that software!

The general public truly are lazy consumer idiots, aren’t they?
Yes, of course they are!

…no mention of iOS 26’s new call screening feature - which asks unknown callers for their name and purpose of the call and displays this on the screen before your phone starts to ring.
Nice! Thanks for pointing this out!

This is such an incredibly important message for us to understand. Thank you for bringing it to our attention. I can only hope that more and more people learn this.

Thanks. I appreciate the info and effort.

OK. Fair enough.

Unfortunately, archive.is has moved behind Cloudflare, subjecting readers to having their reading habits (both the articles and the referring communities) tracked at a large scale.
How do you know this?
What about https://ghostarchive.org/?

Would you edit your post and add the following archive link to the body, please?

date brokers
I believe you meant ‘data brokers’.

Here’s an archive link of that NY Times article: https://archive.is/tXBRJ

uBlock Origin blocks all ads from the streaming sites I use. YouTube, Peacock, Paramount+ and Hulu. Some movies and sports I can easily pirate with no ads.

Yes.
I agree that you may be having this personal experience. On the other hand, I am not and have been using iOS for many years. The difference could be that I intentionally stay very informed about iOS.
I, personally, will not throw the baby out with the bathwater.
However, if you believe that you will have better experiences using Android, then please make the switch.
Back in 2007 (After many years of making a career out of using Microsoft/Windows products) I started using Linux and MacOS/iOS exclusively and have never looked back.
I have very little experience and/or knowledge of Android. So, I can’t comment on that.
