    Keyboard […] which respects you privacy

    It’s a weird world we live in…

    Why would I want to use this over the default keyboard? There isn’t a comparison in the readme and it looks pretty similiar to me.

      It has more features over the default keyboard, just like Gboard has. That’s the gap it was meant to fill: a privacy respecting “smart” keyboard.

      I can imagine that after a stock Android install the default keyboard will not be completely free from key logging by Google LLC and / or by your phone hardware vendor.

        I was aware of the smart spying, the question was meant to be seperate from that comment. I couldn’t really see how florisboard is different in a major way from AOSP keyboard.
