I guess they see others getting away with it on mobile ecosystems and they see that they are losing market share so they think hey whatever. There hasn’t been much innovation lately, they are declining anyways :D

The goal isn’t just to make profit, it’s to it make as much as possible. Would be an expected move in this sense.
