Screw that. Simple minded politicians look at the country with the largest population and think they can strike a single deal to open a market of a billion people. Because why do the right thing and diversify when you can push your career with a single pen stroke, right? Politicians and managers are so obsessed with China and India because of that single deal they can strike instead of many smaller ones that would be a larger team effort. Egotistical thinking like this will only drive us deeper into dependency.
