Peter Parker should get some type of job in fashion. He designed and created his own stylish superhero costume by himself, so clearly he knows about fashion.
Working at a fashion company is also a good job that pays the bills, and he doesn’t have to worry about money while being Spider-Man.
It’s also not that time-consuming.
Depending on the universe, he may have designed his own web shooters and webs that are incredibly strong and also dissolve on their own in a matter of hours. He should become a materials engineer.
He actually did that. Part of the reason Miles Morales was created is that Peter had started a business and actually started making money, which made him less of an everyman.
I kinda love Miles as a character, so I’d be totally okay with Peter taking more of a mentor/backseat role in the comics and let Miles be the Spider-Man (it’s also confusing to have two different characters with the exact same title in the same universe and all).
That way, for big events or whatever, you could bring Peter back and it’d be like this “oh shit” moment when the OG shows up to kick ass.
Like Bruce in Batman Beyond. Typically he was on comms helping Terry be Batman, but it was always memorable when he went into the field.
Exactly.
There are universes where he’s more of a scientist.
He’s probably got an insane body too. But the personality doesn’t work, I guess
The “alter ego is a nerd” thing didn’t make sense to me in my teens because I was like “yeah okay, these dudes are fucking shredded and athletic”. Then I found out /fit/ existed and I was like “oh, extremely in shape people can be social misfits too, nice”
Rock climbing is bang in the middle of the two circles “nerd” and “ripped.” Half the folk at my local wall are complete dorks (and I mean that affectionately) whilst also being slabs of muscle. Seems to be popular amongst people working in compsci/IT.
