Linux Mint is a free Linux-based operating system designed for use on desktop and laptop computers.
Want to see the latest news from the blog? Set the Firefox homepage to:
linuxmint.com/start/<releasename>
where <releasename> is a current or past release. Here’s an example using release 21.1 ‘Vera’:
I’ve been installing Librewolf on all my mint machines. Resolves all the mint defaults bs and the mozilla defaults bs.
I’m not too pleased that the default Mint homepage in Firefox will be replaced, because I used it to keep up with new developments via the little blurbs from the blog, which appeared under the search bar. Otherwise, this partnership seems beneficial.
Edit: Some kind soul pointed out that the homepage with the blog blurbs is not merely /start but /start/release_codename

Re: Mozilla Firefox defaults – Homepage
“The default start page no longer points to https://www.linuxmint.com/start/”
If you change “Homepage” in Firefox settings to “Custom URL” https://linuxmint.com/start/una/ you will have a Linux Mint start page (home page) which shows the three most recent blog postings at the bottom of the page.
It’s a quick, easy way to see if there’s a new blog posting available.
If you just use https://www.linuxmint.com/start/ (without una/) as a start page (home page), the three most recent blog postings do not appear.
