cheapflation means they are using cheaper, crappier ingredients for the same price. i think you mean shrinkflation.
cheapflation is very common in toothpaste brands, for example some crest line the og had way less mint and some other ingredients, the new ones have so much mint enough to cause a reaction(oils can irritate the skin).
