The poor and working class of Venezuela and of any country for that matter really have no time to be on social media. So online media presence is going to be skewed in that regard. Also if Maduro and his party were really unpopular, Venezuela would’ve collapsed to US intervention years ago. It’s only because of the popularity that they survive.

I’m not on twitter so I don’t know about these ‘libre’ guys, but Oscar Perez is some insane guy who somehow stole a helicopter and flew it to the parliament building if I’m not wrong and threw grenades at it. Didn’t achieve anything and looks like he was just a crazy anti-communist gusano.

The people on Twitter, even those living in Venezuela mainly represent the top 10-20% income percentiles. I’m not sure how unpopular Maduro is among the majority working class, but Twitter attracts the better off esp in the Global South.

I don’t know much about the gritty details but from what I’ve gleaned Chavez & Maduro have been working to bridge the gap between wealthy and poor and the wealthy obviously don’t like that.

They’re CIA bots. Don’t overanalyze it. Botting social media is like tier 0 of propaganda and the US is probably the best in the world at propaganda.

Sadly Venezuela is probably the country with the biggest gusano per capita in LATAM, every Venezuelan immigrant I’ve known and even a lot of inhabitants are completely brain cucked by burguer propaganda. I worked for a Venezuelan company and literally every single one of them were gusanos, and we were all being fucked it’s not like it was some high income job.

Are you sure they aren’t just AI trolls? There’s a gussano in a small Facebook group I am in if there is a human behind it they are 100% working in a astroturfing factory and using canned lines.
