Dobrindt said Germany would for the first time join the leadership at the US-led Office of the Security Coordinator for Israel and the Palestinian Authority (OSC) in Jerusalem.
Germany has supported the police in the Palestinian territories for many years to help stabilize the situation there. Dobrindt said Germany wanted to help guarantee Israel’s security.

Unfortunately, there is no party in Germany that would pursue a different policy on Israel, which is why I am talking about the political caste as a whole. I’m not entirely sure whether the AfD, a sadly popular neo-Nazi party, would perhaps take a different approach in this matter, but they are the personification of evil and therefore unelectable for even halfway decent people.
Unfortunately, voters have little to no choice at the ballot box, because there is consensus on this issue across the political spectrum among all major parties. In Germany, there is even a term for this, “Staaträson,” which refers to unconditional support for Israel.
However, this should not be confused with the opinion of the population, which, in my view, overwhelmingly rejects Israel’s inhuman atrocities and in no way wants to support the genocide of the Palestinians. This is happening against the will of the people for the most part.
However, you are right in saying that the people are not doing enough to force politicians to stop their despicable support for the criminal regime in Israel. There are protests against it, but unfortunately not on a scale that would enable a bitterly necessary change.
No it doesn’t. “Staatsräson” is just the classic term for national interest.
And there is no unconditional support for Israel. That’s the fairy tale of the same conservative propagandists that convinced you do vote for them or don’t vote at all because tHeY aRe AlL tHe SaMe anyway… The “we unconditionally support Israel” bullshit comes from the same despicable people who spend years learning from their MAGA buddies how to campaign on bullshit and culture wars and who constantly sane-wash every Trumpian brain- (and other) fart. Coincidence?
In reality the only unconditional thing is Israel’s right to exist as a country. Germany, just like the EU, favors a two-state solution (yet both sides are too insane and genocidal to ever agree on anything that could achieve peace…).
And guess what the population thinks about the “Israel has a right to exist” version. It’s not controversial at all. Neither is the opinion that they are all equally insane and not interested in peace…
