Lemmy already federates with Pleroma and Mastodon since two months. But there are a lot more projects out there, and it would be great to federate with them as well. In terms of programming this is now relatively easy, as our rewritten federation code is quite flexible. However, I need help with testing from people who are familiar with these projects. To get started, I will explain what does and doesn’t federate with Mastodon, as that’s the project I am most familiar with. Mastodon can fetch ...

      I guess if you click on the time, it will bring you to Lemmy. Anyway, this is a question for Mastodon devs, as its their decision how the interface works.

    @nutomic
    Just started implementing a group instance server at:
    https://github.com/guysoft/fedigroup

    It seems like we should figure out how to make it easy since multiple people are doing it now

      You can find documentation about Lemmy’s federation at the links below. The json is auto-generated from source code and should always be up to date, but the text might be outdated. If anything is unclear, let me know.

    User feedback about Friendica

    I can follow Lemmy groups from my Friendica account. I am able to follow Lemmy communities and get updates from them. I am able to write comments but they do not appear on Lemmy.

      That issue with Friendica is already fixed, you just need to wait for it to be released in Lemmy 0.16 (in the next days).

      Like explained in the link. Test other projects and report back to their developers what happens.
