I got hung up on contractions this morning regarding the word âyouâveâ. Normally, Iâd say âyouâve got a problemâ, which expands to âyou have got a problemâ, which isnât wrong, but I normally wouldnât say. Not contracting, Iâd say âyou have a problemâ, so then should I just say âyouâve a problemâ? That sounds weird in my head. Is this just a US English problem?
Yeah, Iâve definitely heard Brits say similar phrases
