Exactly! The “before you leave” part sums it up. Openers can just dip at 1 or 2 or whenever their shifts are over. I can’t leave until everything is done, regardless of when I am “supposed” to leave.
“Something wrong? Must’ve been night shift!” i had to quit working for medical reasons, but i was so thrilled that my leaving fucked them in every sense of the word, because i picked up all the jobs and extra shifts no one else wanted. true satisfaction.
