Just make it so normal that people accept it.

And for others they can say “he’s joking, like he was always joking”

    I feel like saying you’ll only be a dictator on day one is just saying that a dictator doesn’t abdicate power, and a dictator on day one is always a dictator until death.

      Not always, but whenever we did the “lets put the dictator on a remote island” or similar thing, they came back, with a vengeance.

        It depends on the island. Napoleon died on a remote island. It took a few tries though.

            To be fair, Napoleon didn’t actually start any of his wars, it was the European nobility launching wars to reinstate the French Monarchy.
