Improving the system for sharing in Epicyon.
I don’t know exactly what Epicyon offers at this moment, but I find this project direction direction hugely interesting. From the website:
Genuine Sharing Economy
Barter and gift physical items or services with other people on your instance. Search for shared items which you might want or post items you no longer have a use for. Promote ride shares or available accomodation without any unnecessary companies in the middle. Pool resources between trusted friends to build solidarity and have fun.
And in the article there’s mention of supporting the interoperability format of the Data Food Consortium. They want to go with open standards, which is great. In this gitbook the standard they use is documented: DFC Standard Documentation.
@poVoq@lemmy.ml and @bashrc@lemmy.ml, I’d like to bring attention to an early Lemmy topic I posted in this community. It concerns a really wild idea, that is not easily grasped (nor realized, for that matter) but IMHO very intriguing: OfferBots. Note that regardless of what you think about OfferBots it is worthwhile to read the Problem analysis on the offerbots website, as it is a refreshing take on the harms of aggregators on the web.
