Thank goodness for the modlog! You are right on. Just because American propaganda is bad doesn’t mean Chinese isn’t bad too or that we have to defend it. Everyone should be held accountable.

Aside from future-proofing, can I ask why this is important? I believe you that it is, I’m just curious.

I’d like to think he was just trying to be respectful of the author, probably having worked quite a bit together. But he changed his mind pretty quickly when he saw the original author had totally checked out. Maybe that’s a generous reading though.

I think it’s fine as is. Three dots after a button / menu item imply more interaction is required before an action is taken.

This is based on a classic saying, “you scream, I scream, we all scream for ice cream”. In case you’re not a native speaker or it’s not obvious from text, the saying is based on the fact that “I scream” and “ice cream” sound similar, so it’s a bit of a pun. However, without the last part of the saying which references “ice cream”, it just sounds like there’s a bunch of screaming, which is pretty terrifying!

Check out Thunder! It’s my favorite Lemmy app so far coming from Relay. Similar to Jerboa but a lot smoother in my experience.
