Am Pop_OS user, can confirm the fixes are merged really fast on it.

I wouldn’t reccomend using a tiling WM like i3/Sway as your first experience at all, they need a lot of previous knowledge to operate properly, they’re purposefully left incomplete for users to fill exactly what they want to fill it with.

From what you described GNOME seems pretty good for your use case, but the problem you described on COSMIC could be an isolated problem on its own and could be fixed if you installed a different file manager.

As for the distro, fedora could be a good choice, but if you liked arch based distros you can go with them too.

It’s very easy for any activitypub content to be scraped, all servers practically serve the content on a silver platter to any federated server.

Technically this can already be implemented with Lemmy plugins.

However implementing account age could be circumvented later on since instance owners can edit account age from the instance database. Not an issue for now, but will be an issue later.

Federated karma in the way Reddit implements it can be abused in Lemmy by multiple instances sending each other’s accounts automated like responses. You’re going to need a different metric at the very least.

Nah fuck the political implications, the message is %100 correct. The current FPS games don’t give the same enjoyment as I used to get from the old MW3/CS:Source era, and I really enjoyed Splitgate 2 and truly think it can change up a lot of things in the FPS space.

The president can pardon multiple people at once to bypass this limitation, but a president that considers this as a limitation of their powers will likely never get elected.

However if we move the idea towards its strength, it doesn’t extend to violation of state laws. I have no idea how US law works, but I’m certain assasinating the president violates states law, so no.

If you’re used to splitgate 1 binds, would heavily reccomend to adjust controls to set left and right portal binds instead of being forced to use one button. Other than that, I really liked it. The powerup idea seems broken when you first see it, but all of them feel counterable with portal play.

There is a weird treatment done by some anti cheats where they allow SteamOS but not other Linux distros. Most prominent of those I know is ACE.

Also back when I tested it, no Proton version did the trick. Recent protondb reports suggest the same.

Using the same username is not proof they’re the same person online.

Instance admins can also perform moderation actions, and lemmy.ml is known for being on the heavier side for that.
