That’s a fair point. Almost seems like a two-party system is fundamentally flawed.

In Finnish we don’t have gendered pronouns, everyone is a they. But in spoken Finnish, we usually just refer to everyone as “it”, and I think that’s beautiful.

I remember when I Ran by Flock of Seagulls was randomly playing in my head so I decided to listen to it. YouTube took that as me finding a new favourite band. I mostly listen to industrial metal.

Used to be that when a play ended, the audience would rush the stage to pat the backs of the actors to show appreciation. After the Great Audience Stampede of 1733, they made a rule to not rush the stage and just use the other hand as a substitute of the actors’ backs. That rule became the social norm.

I’m in Finland, but most of the entertainment I consume is from the UK/US. Aoife just sounds quite different from all the other names I keep hearing so I assumed it’s rare, but I’m glad to be wrong because the name is still cool.

There’s a content creator called Aoife on the Eurogamer YouTube channel. I think the name is Irish/Gaelic, or something like that.
