I’ll add Mamoru Miyano to the list.
EDIT: Also, Jouji Nakata aka Alucard from Hellsing.

I’m ashamed to say I’ve never watched Initial D. But it’s on my watchlist.
Not necessarily a song but a whole sub-genre: Eurobeat. It started with Running in the 90s and I just went from there to listening and thoroughly enjoying pretty much the whole Initial D soundtrack.
Probably The Last Blade 2 for Neo Geo and Tekken 3 for the PSX. The former I actually ended up playing it on an emulator but it’s still worth mentioning because it’s such a great gem of a game. Here are some of the super moves just to give you a taste but there’s also match footage of top players on Youtube if you want. And you can also play it on Fightcade for free.
Tekken 3 needs no introduction, I think. Considered by many to be one of if not the best entry in the series.
I remember having to use Internet Explorer to do some actions on the autoridade tributária website, like simulating and submitting IRS (even had to download an external application) but that was like 10-12 years ago. More recently, I had to do some stuff with regards to opening and closing my activity (I was on recibos verdes for a while) and did it all through Firefox. Haven’t had to do much else beyond this.
As for seg. social, I just tried to log in and it said my password expired and I had to create a new one. But when I filled in the password fields and tried to click on the button to submit it, it didn’t work. In any browser. Because there was no fucking link associated with the button. So the button did nothing. I had to manually click on the “recover my password” link so I could a create a new one.
When I logged in, I just clicked on a few things, even simulated my retirement pension and everything worked. It’s not much of a test, I know, but it’s something.
Never entered fundo ambiental so I have no idea if it works or not.
Portuguese here. Haven’t had to use anything but Firefox on the IRS and Social Security websites. What are you having trouble accessing?
That said, whichever game you start with, I’d strongly recommend you download a mod to trivialise the management minigame
d) can brick your campaign if you screw them up.
Wow wtf, really? Thank you very much for the tip!
Yeah, I know about Baldur’s Gate 3. Made by Larian, no less, so my expectations are kinda high. I played (but never finished) the first one and I remember liking it at the time but thinking it was a bit dated. But I loved the traditional CRPG experience so I hope they stay true to that, more or less.
That’s ok, I don’t mind exposition. I’ll probably go with WotR, then, thanks!
Oh ok, good to know, thanks! I don’t mind harder to follow stories, and having more character customization options is always a good thing for me. I guess I’ll go with WOTR.
I remember playing the demo of the first one (and then the game) when I was a kid and absolutely loving it, so I can’t wait to get back into it after all these years.
I also had no idea From Software created the Armored Core series (or, I guess, didn’t remember) so it came as a shock to me after watching 6’s first trailer and seeing their logo there.
“So, you just spend all day reading books, right?”
Carlos Paredes - Verdes anos. Paraphrasing a comment on the video: Portuguese soul summed up in a song.
Ah, so it’s a bit more complex, in a way. I’m guessing you can chain moves together as well? That seems pretty cool.
Never played it but heard good things about it. Is it similar to Mordhau? If it is, I second your recommendation, because I played that game with friends and had a ton of fun.
Fighting games? Street Fighter 6, The King of Fighters XV and Guilty Gear Strive all have crossplay, are pretty recent and good fun even if you don’t want to fully dedicate yourselves to it.
As someone who played the first one back in the original Playstation, I’m beyond excited to get back into it. The trailers and gameplay details that came out recently are a huge part of that, too.
Originally, like someone said, it was a derogatory term for supporters of Khrushchev military intervention against a revolt in Hungary in 1956.
It is also used to pejoratively refer to a supporter of some leftist regimes, such as that of Stalin’s USSR, China, and North Korea (also Pol Pot’s Cambodia, probably). Are also a supporter of Putin’s Russia and its invasion of Ukraine.
Take of it what you will.
EDIT: One could even argue how leftist they even were/are. Or if it was only when it suited them.
Mine is 3 years old. Back then, I signed up but never really posted, just lurked for a while and went to explore Tildes instead. So yeah, didn’t really do anything. I remember there being posts people enthusiastic about open-source software but also a few tankies, which kinda turned me off it. But I’m glad Lemmy’s exploding with activity right now, as we got a more diverse userbase right now.
I’ll chime in and suggest PC, as you can probably get them at a lower price than on PS4.
