I don’t think it goes on sale, at least not for any significant amount. To be fair, it’s easily worth the full price, which is not something I often say.
That’s the problem with the fediverse in general. It’s a lovely concept, but it’s hard to sell people on something that has 10% (if we’re being generous) of the content they’re used to.

3·2 years agoThat’s what they said in The Matrix, isn’t it? 1999: the peak of human civilization. At the time, the future looked bright, but in the grand scheme of things, it hasn’t played out as we hoped.

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•What are some common everyday examples of this phenomenon? (see body)English
22·2 years agoJust to play the devil’s advocate: many of those thanking God are more expressing thanks for the circumstances that led to recovery. That includes that doctor, along with whatever knowledge and skill they have as a result of years of study and hard work. i.e. God put that doctor in their lives, rather than some quack.

Comic Strips@lemmy.world•Offering solutions is annoyingEnglish
401·2 years agoI (37M) recently caught myself getting frustrated when my wife offered solutions to my ranting. I just wanted to complain and not be told all the ways I could have avoided the problem in the first place. I finally understand.

2·2 years agoI mean, I’m not, but only because I am too lazy to change (so far). I’ve been remarkably content with the Steam Deck desktop experience, so I’m leaning more and more towards Linux.

10·2 years agoIt’s easier for people who don’t know what they’re doing. The limitations keep those users from breaking things and provide a decent out-of-the-box experience for the user. The very same limitations feel, well, limiting to users like you.
