I think it’s fair to prevent users from causing mail sent to your internal systems. It probably won’t cause any issues getting mail to the machine inbox for (no domain name), but it reasonably makes security uneasy.

If all you want to do is play games, then AMD is the way to go. Better price to performance ratio.

But if you want to play around with AI, Nvidia is the only game in town. AMD still does not properly support GPGPU on their consumer cards. It’s infuriating and embarrassing really.

If you want to you can just create a new subvolume, mount it temporarily and move all your files from root to there. Then you need to figure out how to make the new subvolume your root directory upon boot and you are done.

I’m curious how accurate the PII is. I can generate strings of text and numbers and say that it’s a person’s name and phone number. But that doesn’t mean it’s PII. LLMs like to hallucinate a lot.

I’ve never heard it with the asteroid explanation. But thousands of people die every year in car crashes. Most in single occupant vehicles, but a bus can be involved too.

I expect the data size to be a problem. Stable diffusion defaults to 512x512px, because it simply requires a lot of resources to generate an image. Even more so to train one. Now do that times 30 to generate even one second of video. I think we need something that scales better.

I fully expect this to work decently in a few years though, no matter how hard the challenge is, ai is moving really fast.
