That’s probably what happened. However the job description as written was kind of silly.

Back when I was still on Reddit I remember someone sharing a job posting calling for 10 years of experience in a 5 year old language. I don’t know if it was real or not but it’s typical of the crazy requirements for those jobs.
Best of luck
Doesn’t Ecuador use the U.S. Dollar? It’ll be interesting if the tariffs last any length of time.
I agree but some pushback closer to home would be nice.
It’s likely to be taken away anyway. There is a vocal group in the US pushing for more isolation and less funding for those types of aid. The Trump admin will keep raising the vig if you capitulate now.
For the case of your job or school you either use what is required or you need to find another job or school. That might not be popular but it’s the reality. Other relationships don’t have that kind of pull. Maybe RCS could fix some of it but given what happened with XMPP I’m doubtful.
As the only Android user in a social group of iPhone users I felt this way too much.
The only one that is difficult to replace is Facebook. It’s still the best way to keep up with family and friends from all over. I also like Facebook Marketplace and haven’t found a substitute that is as good.
Is this sucking up or just finally feeling free to show their true self?
It’s not just younger people. A lot of my fellow GenXers only communicate via Facebook messenger.
I use the Realcalc scientific calculator app at least 5 times a week. As others have mentioned GPS functionality for driving is great. I also use my phone’s GPS to get waypoints for the location of fixtures for my job as a telecommunications facilities designer.
Having a high quality camera is also handy for work and personal stuff.
I wish it were an Onion article. Unfortunately it’s all too real.
I’m exhausted from all of this and it’s not even January. How have we reached a point where Nazism is back in vogue?
Do you really need a 35 page report to determine what’s happening?
Same for me. I got DSL in the summer of 2000.
“Broke” isn’t really tye right word. The protocol exists and could be used but companies like Google added proprietary atuff that made it impossible to use it as an open universal “system”.
Didn’t we already have this for a breid shining moment with XMPP before Google and others broke it?
I work for a mid size telco. VoIP has been the predominate method for voice communications going on 10+ years it was just behind the scenes.
