I would say “directly responsible”. Even “indirectly responsible” feels kind of like a smoke screen.
Mind the shavings

I think he was hoping for something better than Amazon, as opposed to worse.
But the fediverse solves that with federation, right? Connectivity and choosing where your connections are is the whole point.
Or is that short sighted? Seriously asking.
The comment you responded to covered all that. It’s possible it’s a translation/tone error. No reason to assume face value given the stakes.
If that ends up being not the case, then ok.
That last one had better at least require two or three people to sign off on it. One shitty mod could easily become a bigger problem than a troll with that in power in hand.
I for one am a fan of everybody doing UI Fediverse improvements. It is very literally paving the future of the internet, because the future of the internet is not corporate bullshit. The Fediverse needs to be as slick as possible, and more people working on that is sorely, sorely needed!
It’s immoral to be more mad about Brian Thompson’s death than about the countless millions he killed and tortured and bankrupted with his pen.
The killer is a symptom, not of Brian Thompson but of the system he was a replaceable figurehead for. If we have less violent means of stopping insurance executives murdering millions, we should jump at them. Can’t let millions die like that though. Do anything else.
Even making the discussion about Luigi is a little misleading in the wider sense, although it’s not invalid by default to discuss it.
And when you understand it, what are you going to do, put some of your money which you have into it?
We need to compile a list of shitty executives for boycotting purposes. No more “this company did a bad thing”. No. We need exactly this, with “this is David Davidson, who led the enshittification of ABC, Inc”
It needs to be a document, a wiki, of exactly the shitty things those people did so that businesses will have monetary reasons to want to avoid shitty executives.
Let’s help those poor, poor companies from being victimized by those awful greedy people. The poor things.
The list of apps that want to invade your privacy populates itself?
First past the post is what you’re tangling with.
It makes it so third parties only hurt their closest friend and lose to their least favorite party. Taking that energy into the democratic party itself is probably the best bet. Not good, but best.
In ranked choice, yes a new party would probably be best.
Make fines for companies breaking the law to make money a percentage of the profit generated from it, with a base percentage of 125%.
Exactly that. It looks like the ink didn’t come out the pen right.
I know all the not-stupids already know it but it bears repeating:
When we say Israel is a shitty genocide committer, we mean the Israeli government–Netanyahu and all his cunty supporters. Not all the normal people who live there who hate the shit as much as anyone else.
Good news is you’d have to make it up, since there’s nothing in real life to base it on.
