#p2play on android is way more usable and fully functional.

But they’re getting new branding;)
It’s important to note that currently it’s in early beta, and in order to avoid playstore and apple store issues you only have access to a curated list of peertube instances.
So for example you can’t connect it to your personal instance ATM… This will be available likely on a fdroid version or more widely after they manage to jump the official stores hurdles.
PikaOS looks cool, never heard of it, but it had me a Debian optimized hardware and software support:). What’s the hyprland version?
Personally, I don’t this will have much success because titok is driven by algorithms and influencers…it’s built for lazy scrolling consumers that follow the latest trends. People that use it don’t care about the data privacy or ethics of it, they just want to know what the latest song or dance craze is … Add to that ease of use to add graphics and music tracks. Also reach is everything.
Bad example on my part;)
Bucky was right once again with his theory of “Ephemeralization” https://dbpedia.org/page/Ephemeralization … The only reason we’re concerned with these companies employing Devs and spending Billions to do what small teams of FOSS are able to achieve is simply a bad economic system that requires “make work” or Bullshit jobs for wages to feed the parasite class, instead of us living like the Jetson’s. Time to move one!

Sounds great, the more options users have the better, I say!
I second that, loving Alexandrite.app :)
So great that you’re doing this!
Owncast, the foss twitch alternative, is an incredible project and they’ve been looking for design help for quite some time… https://owncast.online/
If you are looking to leave the matrix protocol, I suggest xmpp…it fulfills everything on your list.

One easy way to start is not by doing it all at once. Start by avoiding the Playstore and using fdroid instead. On your main OS replace proprietary software with foss alternatives. Once you get comfortable with that, THEN you can make the next steps. It doesn’t have to happen overnight, but you’ll be heading in the right direction:)
Of course this is true, but moving to a privacy respecting OS, like linux or buying a phone w a custom ROM installed goes a long, long way to improving the situation.
Hmm, this doesn’t seem like it would store energy for long though right? Once the energy starts flowing in, the wheel magnifies that force I assume, but needs almost constant input right? It’s just meant to deal w hiccups in power outages?
I’ve had good luck by using https://peertube-search.com/ but beware, use an ad blocker because it’s pretty loaded with spammy ads. However, if you do that you can actually filter by language, category, upload date etc. Everything that should actually be available in the official search https://joinpeertube.org/browse-content
Sadly, it says almost nothing about how these actually work, and the video shows them taking the unit off the truck and onto a concrete pad … that’s it.
yes, that’s right
