I am wondering much about graveyards in Heaven, can you die in the afterlife and where will you go then? Is Heinlein’s Job more factual than I always assumed??

The Nexus, being a destructive addiction, seems to me more of an analogy to heavy drug use than a happy afterlife.
Maybe it was even a 25 pin delta serial? or an external scsi port? Sounds damn peculiar indeed.
This is a great explanation!
But I do have to say, you darn kids with your fancy newfangled PS/2 input… in my days we had proper serial or DIN ports!
God I love Jucika comics so much, thank you for introducing them to me!

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•What's the deal with AI datacenters using water for cooling?
61·9 days agoIt’s amazing that Hank can come to this conclusion since basically every genai company is hiding their resource usage. (Well, actually not that amazing as Hank has gone completely on the side (and gets sponsored by) these companies and is strongly biased).
Have a look at eg https://pivot-to-ai.com/2026/03/06/how-much-water-do-the-data-centres-use-its-a-secret/

59·11 days agoI don’t know anything about their situation and neither do you. I’ve known parents at 16/18 who did a good job (with help of their parents), and I know adult parents who should have had a snip the moment they were born. Sure it’s going to be hard for teenagers, but it doesn’t mean it’s going to be bad.

World News@lemmy.world•Iran imposes new rules for Hormuz in effort to cement control of key waterwayEnglish
9·12 days agoNot just that; the USA will have lost its reputation as the “world police” while Iran will now have a reputation as a country that stood up to their bully and won. Just like with Ukraine and Russia, the mighty are falling, and it’s going to be an interesting new world order.
She’s no longer an orphan so I guess yeah, she is.

So the title seems to be “Jucika is watching tv”, the first th screen is a test image that was often transmitted before and after actual transmission, “szünet” is a break… so my guess is they take a break from fighting to watch tv, after which the tv takes a break and fighting continues.
Edit: gosh darn, everyone already mentioned this. Sorry.

If this was a comic from many other artists, I’d have a laugh because challenging ideas/prejudices/etc is a great way to reflect and think - eg if this was a Cyanide and Hapiness, it wouldn’t be a great but acceptable comic, as everyone on every kind of spectrum would be the butt of a (sometimes crude) joke, and that’s fine. This artist above is just a nasty type with a very narrow world view.
You’re pretty judgmental for someone who thinks I shouldn’t be so judgmental.

Yeah the dish washing, that is seriously an amazing part of the story. But I digress, I was referring to the part where Alex is going to “trial”, with the judge a god of gods (I should re-read it, my explanation is terrible).
