  • That’s only true in an old model of individual investors who go to shareholder meetings and stay with a company forever. That’s not how the world has worked for decades and decades.

Most rich people don’t have investments in individual stock. They don’t give a fuck if a company goes bust or not. Their investments are in giving out loans, bonds, funds etc. They park their money in a family office, and their money moves around the world more than an air steward.

If a company’s stock goes down 1% they diversify into other stock. They sell to buy gold.

It really isn’t “worse in the long-term” for them. The wealthy. They are getting richer faster than any other period of history and you think they are dumb…? Not working in their own best interest? Even in the long-term…?

They pay people dozens of millions a year to make them the most money possible forever. People absurdly more intelligent than any of us here. People who would centuries ago be genius scientists.

I’m sure they know what they are doing. And they are winning and we are losing.

I have a hard time freely forming realistic images in my head. Like if I TRY to picture an apple, I just get the vibes of an apple but no image.

But I did yoga some years ago. We did 15 min of breathing exercises, 45 min of actual physical practice (vinyasa), then 30 min of guided meditation. The whole point of the class was the meditation really, everything before that was preparing to meditate.

Anyways, first time I went, I did the breathing, did the “flows”, then we laid down to meditate. The instructor guided us through this meditation, about being in an open field, and riding a horse, and feeling the wind on your face the horse underneath you, and dude… I could picture it all like it was real life. I could see in full 4k 3D. So much I started to feel like I was there, I could actually feel the wind the horse. See the bright sun. I actually cried a little.

So yeah I think with the right guidance you could probably see in your mind like it was real life.

  • Mac is great for emulators, so you have that.

Also mac native games, like ones you can buy on the App Store (cyberpunk etc.) run great on most M chip macs.

Also, Crossover might be a solution for some games. It works for most games fine, some work great, and some don’t work at all.

There’s also other cloud gaming services, where you can emulate a whole computer and just download steam games. Most are cheaper than gamepass 🤷‍♂️
