I’ve heard it described as “NYC run by the swiss” by lifelong Torontoans. The grass is always greener as they say, but it definitely has a lot to offer over NYC in the way of cleanliness and habitability.

The difference between N64 and Switch is much much much greater than the difference between Switch and Switch 2. Even the gap between Wii and Switch is greater

I’ve personally been thriving since moving to a big city. I never want to go back to the middle of nowhere. I enjoy urban exploration, I love the diversity of business and people, and I love the sheer amount of community that exists. I love that there’s always new things to find. That just doesn’t exist outside of cities.

So as someone who is basically half blind (so resolution doesn’t matter) and knows about the existence of SD cards, there’s basically nothing exciting about it. Cool.

Use TypeScript

While JS does suck, most of the people who complain endlessly about it are fairly inexperienced tbh. A lot has changed over the last 20 years and it’s honestly rare to code in pure JS nowadays. You can’t really escape it when doing frontend work anyways.

You can do a lot with modern css too, especially extensions like scss

The bigger problem imo is overuse of third party modules, especially through npm. That’s how you get a massive amount of bloat
