Some deserve to not even try to seek alternate diplomatic tactics.

And some, namely the whole Kim family, don’t deserve for us to even WANT to try to be peaceful.

I mean they’re seemingly not dangerous, but the way they run their own country still earns this treatment. And they need to be killed twice if they do become dangerous.

Honestly don’t think it’s universal, but most of the time, yeah.

So that’s what happened. Thought I just mashed buttons weirdly at some point and caused it.

I am unaware of any difference other than the obvious visual one. I never owned a SNES back in the day, so I kinda missed All Stars, and even when emulating became cool, I never saw a reason to emulate a game that then made me choose which game I wanted to play, rather than just choose the ROM for the game I wanted.

This post is the first time I’ve heard of the movie.

When morons say something about a “political nature”, it’s just code for briefly mentioning (and then not instantly condemning) anything about a character that doesn’t fit into:

Straight white cis Christian household with the oldest male the sole breadwinner and the oldest female barefoot and pregnant and tending to their (at least 2) kids’ needs, and keeping house while still doing her “wifely duties” for him, all while being in the kitchen.

They hate immigrants and anyone different from them in any way. They tolerate them if they stay where they came from.

Anything else they disagree with is a political issue, because an extreme version of their religion is their political party, do anything they disagree with means God hates it, and their party will vote against it, and the normal people will vote for it, thereby making it a political issue in an ass backwards way.

That’s great to hear. I would probably love to hang with him in a setting where he wasn’t in a “hang out with a random fan” kinda situation, which has good be uncomfortable for famous people.

If there was a legit reason it lived intersected, it would probably be a kick-ass time.

It was X-Men Apocalypse.

I was working in a call center at the time, and there were tvs around the room on mute with closed captions that we could look at in between being on a call. I actually didn’t work in a department that took calls at the time, so I would watch entire shows like this sometimes.

Anyway, the trailer for this movie came on during a commercial break, and there was one scene (I forget the exact quote- I might have to check YouTube for it now, but you’ll see it if you look it up) that was taking about the four horsemen, and mentioned that Christianity wasn’t the first to use that metaphor, but that it has been used by a bunch of religions and people groups before.

So that threw me for a loop and made me start wondering. And once I figured out that one thing I always heard specifically about the belief was wrong, it made me wonder what else was wrong.

So once I stopped taking everything for granted as just being true because “the Bible says it is” and started looking at it honestly, it quickly turned into realizing that it was all bullshit. As soon as you stop assuming it’s all completely true no matter what the evidence said, and actually take reality into account (for anyone that didn’t grow up as a believer this sounds totally insane, but that’s really how it be), a lot of things snap into focus.

I had a roommate I completely disagreed with at the time, but I started taking him a lot more seriously after that. Turns out he wasn’t crazy, I was.

And that’s the short version. I don’t recall enough specifics to really make a long version, but you get the idea.
