There are soo many of those forks, how do I know which one is going to continue development in the long-term (i.e. continue forking newer features/patches/fixes while eliminating all forms of telemetry)?
When you need to download it you can press on the fork number button on the original repo,the choose network on the left bar.you can then visually check which forks are maintained

There’s no simple answer to that. Only time will tell.
